Deseo is brilliantly situated in the Andalusian hamlet of Solano, in the province of Malaga. It is a 15 minute drive from the nearest village of Colmenar, in the region of Axarquia.  The views from the terraces around the pool over the valley and surrounding mountains are breathtaking, with the white villages of Comares and Canillas de Aceituno in the distance.

Although in the middle of nature, Deseo is excellently situated for trips and outings in the surrounding areas. From the house itself, there are beautiful walks down into the valley. The wonderful scenery of the Montes de Malaga natural park and the rougher scenery around Alfarnate are nearby. The nearest village of Colmenar, with banks, restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and even a nightclub, is approximately 15 minutes drive from the house on tarmac roads.
